1 KINGS‬ ‭10‬:‭6‬-‭9‬ ‭‬‬

“She exclaimed to the king, “Everything I heard in my country about your achievements and wisdom is true! I didn’t believe what was said until I arrived here and saw it with my own eyes. In fact, I had not heard the half of it! Your wisdom and prosperity are far beyond what I was told. How happy your people must be! What a privilege for your officials to stand here day after day, listening to your wisdom! Praise the Lord your God, who delights in you and has placed you on the throne of Israel. Because of the Lord’s eternal love for Israel, he has made you king so you can rule with justice and righteousness.””

1 Kings‬ ‭10‬:‭6‬-‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This time represented a boon for ancient Israel. Under it, God was blessing the people greatly through the wisdom he had given Solomon. Although Solomon made many mistakes throughout his life, we can learn something from the way I. Which he interacted with the Queen if Sheba. We know that his interaction was a positive thing from the fruit it bore. This is made clear in the way in which she categorizes the blessings. Not only did Solomon receive praise for his wisdom, but she received enough of an understanding of God from it that she praised God and even contributed to his campaign. Diplomatically, we see that Solomon did not hold back in his generosity toward her. He freely shared both his wealth, his God and his wisdom with her. This helped to fund establish Israel’s military might. Though he would later come to rely to heavily on being able to charm and buy, what he did here can be prescriptive for how we interact with our non believing neighbors. Let us be generous in sharing God.
