ABOUT JOSH

MY NAME IS JOSH MCGARY.

First, I am a Pastor of a small church in Portland, Oregon named Aletheia Bible Fellowship. We call it ABF. I have been a pastor there for the better part of 20 years.

I believe in family. I am a former foster parent, an active God father, guardian and I have three biological children, Sophia, Joseph & Olivia. I share a sincere familial bond with all of them. Father’s days are crowded. Together with my beautiful wife of over a decade, Mashayla, we try to bring God’s love and sense of adoption to all people.

I am very eclectic. What I love, I love loudly and immersively. I have notable collections of toys, funko pops, and vinyl. I also infamously love pop culture, comic books, technology, the arts, psychology and philosophy.

WHY THE WEBSITE?

I have always had something to say. My entire life, I have sought to get these thoughts out of my soul and onto any canvas I could find. My parents recognized this about me at a young age and encouraged me to document my mind. To that end, I have a large artistic footprint. As I have gotten older, I have realized a desire to share this with those I love. This website pulls all of my methods of expression together for anyone interested. My hope is that after I’m long gone, it will serve as my personal attic and hopefully a digital scrapbook for my children’s children.
