EZRA‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭‬‬

“But because their God was watching over them, the leaders of the Jews were not prevented from building until a report was sent to Darius and he returned his decision.”
‭‭

Ezra‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The simple truth about our own success is that despite our meaningful sense of agency in this world, things cannot work against God’s. It is only what he allows to exist that exists at all. And what he does not allow to prevail will not stand. We often make the mistake in n listening to the enemies of God that this isn’t a universal constant. Christian’s and non Christian’s alike tend to treat this truth without the respect it deserves. Truthfully, it needs to be treated as a law of metaphysical nature for us to discern things properly. Men may command, either for or against God, but it is always and only God who decides the ultimate fate of such plans. This, as those who acknowledge his love for us, should give us confidence to live by his word. It outlines what he will and won’t allow. It instructs us as to how to cultivate ourselves into steadfast discerners of such things. We should never be afraid to move forward when we live under God’s approval. This is the only true thing standing between our success and our failure.
