“But Tattenai, governor of the province west of the Euphrates River, and Shethar-bozenai and their colleagues soon arrived in Jerusalem and asked, “Who gave you permission to rebuild this Temple and restore this structure?” They also asked for the names of all the men working on the Temple.”
Ezra 5:3-4 NLT
Satan is called the “Accuser of the Brethren.” This is in large part a description of how he behaves towards God’s people. It is very common to find that when God’s voice is being heard and listened to, Satan’s voice is screaming loudly with shouts of murder, blasphemies, paranoia and lies. This is not a new thing he does. He did it in the garden of Eden as well. When he is successful, we replace the very word of God with demonic wisdom and we allow it to infiltrate our work in God’s kingdom. Too many churches have been built with the hands of Satan. His way is to help build the church, while making it shoddy and toxic for the body. In this way, people become convinced on their own to leave it because the evidence of its ugliness is apparent. But at the heart of this is often someone or some rule that cultivated Satan’s lies. There is always a choice with God. A Christian’s job is more than laying bricks in the kingdom. It is d ring discerning of how they’re laid. We must hold fast to God’s revelation in our lives and not succumb to the accusations or whispers of the devil.
