1 CORINTHIANS 3:10-23

What do we ultimately build on? That foundation that was already laid. We can often be confused by the strong structures built by others but at the end of the day, the strongest structure is only as strong as the foundation it rests on. Our solidarity is also a structure. How we build it is of importance but it’s success cannot be divorced from where it was built and upon what. Many hold onto solidarity because the structure of it is sound. Often these “sound” models of community are modeled after biblical pillars and that’s why they can hold weight. But when floods come, they too will be whisked away if not built upon the rock of Christ.

MY NAME IS JOSH MCGARY. First, I am a Pastor of a small church in Portland, Oregon named Aletheia Bible Fellowship. We call it ABF. I have been a pastor there for the better part of 20 years. I am very eclectic. What I love, I love loudly and immersively. I have notable collections of toys, funko pops, and vinyl. I also infamously love pop culture, comic books, technology, the arts, psychology and philosophy. https://sleek.bio/joshmcgary
