PROVERBS‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭‬‬

“Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back.”
‭‭

Proverbs‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It is not wrong to be angry but it must be understood that anger is highly destructive I’ve force when unleashed. Its best use is as a type of internal combustion for a person who is angled toward godly pursuits. A person who’s angry can be empowered beyond measure to overcome great odds at whatever he pursues. This is a good thing. But as Jesus points out, he must not sin in it. He must not rule that emotion so that the destructive force doesn’t escape him and overcome him. Therefore, it is better for the angry man to restrain the anger in him. In fact, it is foolish not to restrain it. He ought to keep it within and then allow it to process what comes out. To do otherwise is to waste the natural resource of righteous indignation. It is to strip away a part of being godly, which is disdain for injustice and appreciation for God’s wrath. Though these are not the most powerful emotions that men can be moved by, their value is still underrated amongst religious men. We must value anger enough to withhold it and use it to forge tools that help us in pursuit of godly character. Anger will help us uphold Justice, protect the innocent, and weed out sin in our lives. But it must not be allowed to run rampant, lest it destroy everything.
